England defeated India by 10 wickets in the second semi-final of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 on Thursday, November 10. England openers Jos Buttler and Alex Hales put on an unbeaten 170-run partnership to chase down India's total of 168 for 8 with ease.

India won the toss and elected to bat first, but their innings was pegged back by some excellent bowling from England. Chris Jordan (3-43) and Adil Rashid (1-20) were the pick of the bowlers for England, with both taking key wickets at crucial stages.

India's top scorer was Hardik Pandya, who made 63 runs off just 33 balls. Virat Kohli also made a valuable contribution with 50 runs off 40 balls, but India's total was ultimately not enough to trouble England.

In reply, England openers Hales and Buttler were in imperious form. They both scored 80 runs off 47 balls, with Hales hitting 11 fours and 3 sixes, while Buttler hit 9 fours and 3 sixes. England reached their target with 4 overs to spare, setting up a final clash against Pakistan on Sunday, November 13.
